With a population of less than 300 people, Donnelsville is a small village located in Clark County, Ohio, near Springfield. The town was originally laid out in 1830 by James Donnel, which is who the town was named in honor of.
By 1840, a post office was established there and the town was said to have been strong with industry during a time when homes there cost less than $400 off the Main Street. Additionally, in 1897, the town was home to a molasses mill. In 1950, when the town celebrated its centennial, they had a Ferris Wheel and many rides available.
